About the house
- This is a large, confusing house -- though not unprecedented. (It's
based on William Randolph Hearst's San Simeon, which is even larger.)
- Some rooms are so complex that they may encompass two or more screens; an
example is the morning room, which is divided into the morning room and
the north morning room, so I could get in all the exits and entrances.
- The house consists of four stories and a mezzanine. Some sections of the
upper stories are actually multi-story suites entered on a lower floor.
I've included rather general maps that should be large enough to print and
make notes on:
- For those unable to use images, I've described the layout of each floor
in a separate file.
